is the start of summer. Grades are done, you can catch up with referee reports, start to clean up the piles, and so on. I can start a summer reading group, but best of all, I can just think. Thinking is my favorite part of the job–start thinking about a research problem, and then the answer comes. The harder the research problem, the more fun the thinking is, and the more likely the answer will pop out in the shower.
